An Integral Part of Division 38
Division 38 is a welcoming and inspiring organization for students interested in Health Psychology and exploring the mind-body connection. Although the discipline of Health Psychology is a young and emerging science - we have just celebrated our 31st birthday - it has already had a significant impact on our understanding of how biology, environment, and behavior impacts health and illness. You can be a part of this movement!
As a division, we care deeply about encouraging student participation because we understand that students of today are the future of our discipline. They will carry forward and complete much of today's work. Student affiliates become an integral part of our organization, not mini-members or second-class members. They enjoy the same benefits of membership as Professional Members and Affiliates, but there are many additional opportunities, which include::
- Student grants and awards,
- Participation in Division 38 committees,
- Accessibility to researchers and subject matter experts,
- Access to APA and Division 38 publications,
- Networking with Health Psychology professionals,
- Involvement in building professional programs, and
- Access to the student LISTSERV.
Join us today at a special student membership rate!
To join the student listserv, email listserv@lists.apa.org. In the body of the email (not the subject line) type SUBSCRIBE DIV38STU (your name).
